About Peter
The Hendy Driving School began back in 1986 when I started training people to drive coaches on a part time basis. I hold City & Guilds as well as NVQ qualifications in PCV training. I also hold both LGV and PCV CPCs. In 1994 I took a sideways step and qualified as a Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor (Car). This is what our main business now consists of. I really enjoy teaching people to drive and find it very rewarding.
I keep myself up to date on all aspects of my job and try to set an example in the way I drive and behave while behind the wheel.
I am a very patient person which I feel is a very important part of being a driving instructor. I'm also quite laid back which means I get on with most people and this results in my students learning to drive in a friendly atmosphere. About the Driving School CarWe use a Renault Clio 1.5Dti which is ideal to learn to drive in because of its: - Compact design
- Excellent all-round visibility
- Smooth controls
- Adjustable Seat
- Dual controls
- Air conditioning
- Power steering
- General ease of driving.
